Good food - pleasant staff - great company

I've stayed here on two occasions during 2011, once for a week and once for 2 nights, and on both occasions I've enjoyed myself immensely. The food was always good and plentiful, sandwiches can be ordered for days out and teamaking facilities are in every room (bring your own extra Tbags, milk and sugar if you don't like beer). The rooms are adequate, but not luxurious, but this isn't the Ritz or the Hilton, and the matresses are a little on the thin side for some tastes, but I slept very well, despite being in a first floor front room. Not known for being "gay friendly", the hotel lends itself to discreet liaisons with like minded men and couples, and judging by foot traffic in the corridors after 'lights out', some room swapping happens. Leave your door barely ajar between 10pm and midnight whilst you watch TV, and somebody will surely pop in to wish you goodnight. Sweet dreams and have fun
